We are proud to unveil the transformation of Lola’s Sports Bar into the landmark Paddy’s Sportsbook at The Hippodrome in London, created in collaboration with Paddy Power. This project was more than a refurbishment; it was a complete reinvention of how sport, spectacle, and hospitality can coexist in one immersive destination. Drawing inspiration from the arenas where sport is played, the design captures the theatrical spirit of competition while reflecting the rich heritage of the Hippodrome as a house of performance and grandeur.
The concept reimagines the spatial drama of traditional stadium architecture through a refined, luxurious lens. High-end finishes such as microcement walls and mosaic detail floors provide a sleek, monolithic base for the space, while a series of archway tunnels create a sense of movement and anticipation, guiding guests through zones that balance energy and intimacy. At its heart, a 360-degree bar anchors the room, surrounded by layers of viewing areas, plush booths, and bespoke furnishings that combine comfort with sculptural elegance. Every detail was considered to heighten the sense of occasion, from the lighting to the material palette that evokes both sport and theatre.
The result is a distinctive interior that feels both contemporary and timeless, blending the excitement of live sport with the sophistication expected of one of London’s most iconic venues. Since its opening, Paddy’s Sportsbook has been celebrated in the press as a bold redefinition of the modern sports lounge, setting a new benchmark for how design can elevate the spectator experience. The project stands as a testament to thoughtful collaboration and the enduring power of design to create spaces that captivate, engage, and endure.
